There Will Be Time Annette Brown

There will be time ,

For lingering cappuccinos in coffee shops,for chilled wine in crowded restaurants. 

There will be times for tight hugs in busy airports 

For bumping into each other on footpaths again  ,

There will be time to spend shopping in bustling department stores again, 

To drive to the coast and walk coastal footpaths.

There will be time to meet face to face once again,

Awkward at first then settling in like old times,

to be free to roam and travel again 

 to unlock ourselves and

 

Transport ourselves to freedom again after these Covid times .
